Biography:
Sweeney Todd is a fictional character known as the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He first appears in the 2007 movie, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, directed by Tim Burton.
In the movie, Sweeney Todd is portrayed by Johnny Depp. He is depicted as a barber who seeks revenge on the corrupt Judge Turpin, who unjustly exiled him on false charges. Upon his return to London, he establishes a barber shop above Mrs. Lovett's pie shop.
Driven by a thirst for vengeance, Todd murders his customers, and Mrs. Lovett disposes of the bodies by baking them into meat pies which she sells in her shop. The movie follows Sweeney Todd's descent into madness and the escalating cycle of violence.
